Seminar Series: Literaturas Plurales

Latamcyber is pleased to announce that Thea and Claire have been invited to speak at the forthcoming seminar series, Literaturas Plurales, jointly organized by the Instituto de Investigaciones Filológicas of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, and the Centre de Recherches Interdisciplinaires sur les Mondes Ibériques Contemporains at the Université Paris-Sorbonne. The seminar series forms part of wider collaborations between Thea and Claire and members of research teams at both institutions, is structured around the topic of Ecritures plurielles: littérature hypertextuelle et hypermedia.

Three separate events will take place as part of the collaboration, on 22 March, 19 April, and 31 May of this year, and will involve presentations via videoconferencing as well as face-to-face sessions at both institutions. Thea and Claire will be sharing their thoughts on new configurations of textualities online, particularly as regards the creative re-mixing of lexia with images, and the ways in which established literary genres are enriched or transformed by their re-combinations with new media technologies.

As well as Thea and Claire, participants in the events include, from the Mexican side of the collaboration, Héctor Perea, Miguel Rodríguez Lozano, Gustavo Jiménez, and Rodolfo Mata, and from the Parisian side, Eduardo Ramos-Izquierdo and his colleagues at the research centre. A full list of the programme of events can be found here.
