Buenos Aires and Montevideo Events

A week-long series of events in Buenos Aires and Montevideo will form the second leg of the Cities in Dialogue exhibition.

Entitled Cities in Dialogue/ Ciudades en Diálogo these events bring  together the work of two of the artists involved in the exhibition in Liverpool: Brian Mackern and Marina Zerbarini, whilst also bringing into dialogue the work of new artists.

Taking place from 8-13 June 2015, events place during this week-long intervention include:

  • Premiere of Brian Mackern’s residence artwork, “This too shall pass” Memories and noises from the Waterfront // 53°24’N 2°59’W – Liverpool. The City as Affective Interface.
  • Roundtable discussion, including talks by the artists, and talks by Jordana Blejmar and Claire Taylor giving a retrospective on the Liverpool experience
  • Audience feedback activities, including live tweeting and input into the works
  • Combined scholarly-artistic panel at the E-Poetry Festival 2015
  • Book launch of Place and Politics
  • Workshop at the Universidad Nacional del Arte, Buenos Aires
